Technology has advanced so much in the past few years that corrective laser surgery is becoming increasingly more popular.

Laser surgery was developed as a way of improving the accuracy of microsurgery by replacing the skills of the surgeon with the precision of a laser. London teaching hospitals have led the world in laser research since studies began with the excimer laser in 1983. The first treatment for myopia was performed at St. Thomas Hospital, London in 1988 under the supervision of Professor John Marshall.

For several years now Jenson and Ledingham have co-managed patients who have undergone PRK and LASIK surgery. For further details and advice please call.

For patients who have undergone unsucessful laser surgery or who were disappointed with the results, we recommend taking a look at our Wavefront-Guided Lenses.
